The Faire Fecan Theatre on the York University campus was built in 2006 and is the undiscovered gem of the Ontario competitive dance scene circuit! The facility is new and spacious. The stage itself is very large with ample wing space. Dressing rooms are large, well appointed and plentiful. A gorgeous, professional rehearsal room is provided. This venue is conveniently located off of Highway 400, just north of Highway 401.

LOCATION

Faire Fecan Theatre, located in the Accolade East Building, on the campus of York University. This link will take you to a detailed map of the campus. The theatre is in building 92, with parking in building 84 as noted on the map. LEAVE EXTRA TIME WHEN COMING TO THIS LOCATION. University campuses can be confusing!

PARKING

  • We recommend parking in the Student Services parking lot, (building #84 on the campus map) which is kitty corner to the theatre.

  • You pay via HONK mobile app and you need to pay UPON ENTRY, not when you leave ; if people wait to pay they will be ticketed by City of Toronto, not York U.

  • Vehicle are identified via license plate so it is very important that the plate number be entered correctly into the APP otherwise that could also result in a ticket.

  • Once the flat day rate is paid, people can come and go out of the garage they are parking in for that day, provided there are spaces to park.

PROP DELIVERY

  • Drive down Fine Arts Blvd with the theatre building on your right

  • Just past the theatre building you will see a driveway that leads into a parking lot

  • Go into the parking lot and deliver your props via the loading dock provided (ask for help opening the garage doors)

  • If you plan on leaving a trailer on the campus during the weekend, please contact us PRIOR TO THE WEEKEND to make arrangements.

STAGE DIMENSIONS

  • 35’ wide x 34’ deep

  • the wings are very spacious

DRESSING ROOMS

  • Dressing rooms are assigned.

  • Thank you in advance for sharing the space with other studios, and for leaving the space clean at the end of the weekend for further renters.

  • Please have hair and make-up done before arriving at the theatre

  • Dressing rooms open one hour prior to the first routine dancing on stage each day. If you arrive early you will unfortunately have to wait to gain access to the dressing rooms.

REHEARSAL ROOM

  • There is a spacious dance studio on the 2nd floor provided for your use.
