We are excited to be hosting our London competition at the beautiful and well appointed RBC Place Convention Center. This facility will allow for a sizable stage, spacious dressing rooms, and convenient parking. Guests who stay over night will have the convenience of walking to the host hotel across the street via an indoor breezeway.

HOTEL

Double Tree Hilton. 300 King St, London ON * Hotel is attached to the convention centre via a 2nd floor breezeway.

Parking

There is parking underneath the RBC Place Convention Centre. Parking is also available across the street from the front doors of RBC Place at 301 York St. It is an open air lot and is run by Canada Wide Parking

prop delivery

 Props can be loaded into RBC Place via the loading dock on Wellington St. Look for a sign on the white building that says RBC Place London Service Entrance. You can only access the entrance when you are travelling NORTH on Wellington. If you are going south on Wellington, you cannot turn left into the Service Entrance due to an island in the middle of the street.

ACCESS TO THE LOADING DOCK AREA IS LIMITED TO BETWEEN 7 AM AND 10PM

The doors to the Service Entrance should open automatically. You can pull your vehicle/trailer up to one of the bays, and empty the contents. There is a regular passenger elevator and freight elevator to use in this area to get your props to the 2nd floor of the building. You are welcome to use either, but please note that the freight elevator is quite large.

Once you get to the 2nd floor, you pass through a large hall and enter the backstage area via the double doors.

You may be able to leave some smaller props backstage, but it won’t be possible to leave all your props backstage throughout the entire weekend. The convention centre has given us another space for props to live over the weekend, so if you need this space, please check in with an Ultimate staff member to find out where to access this room.

Vehicles can be left in the loading dock area while you load and unload props, but should be removed once this task has been completed.

If you have a few small props that are easy to transport, you can park temporarily in front of the entrance to the convention centre on York St, go in the front door, and carry the props up the 2nd floor via the passenger escalator.

dressing rooms

  • Dressing rooms will be assigned. We thank you in advance for sharing the space respectfully with other studios, and for leaving the space clean at the end of the weekend.

  • Please come to the theatre with hair and make-up done.

  • Dressing rooms will open one hour before the first routine dances on stage. If you come early you will have to wait.


REHEARSAL SPACE

  • We will cordon off space in the lobby of the convention centre for the purposes of using as a rehearsal space. Please ensure you share space generously with other studios in attendance.
